For example, the images below show the hallmarks found on two pairs of Sweet Alhambra earrings—one produced in 2022 and the other in 2025. On many pieces produced before 2020, certain marks, such as the eagle’s head hallmark, the “750” gold mark, or scale-shaped symbols, may be absent.

The examples below show two Perlée Diamonds 3-Row Bracelets, both purchased from Van Cleef & Arpels on the same day in 2018.
Although both pieces are unquestionably authentic, one bracelet features the French eagle's head hallmark and the balance-scale hallmark, while the other does not.
